Unworthy am I to enter the glory,
too much evil has occured in my story.
But once i purify my slate,
then all will be well and great.
It is my deeds that have given me this chance,
to once again enter this beatiful dance.
Now here I am to pay for my sins,
this purgatory of mine now begins.
It starts as a minor yearning,
nothing difficult for a man of my training and learning.
But slowly it begins to last longer and longer,
each pain getting just a little stronger.
And then the searing came.
I cried out His holy name.
As my body lit ablaze,
I fell into a strange haze.
And just as all was going black,
I felt myself being pulled
"Where do you think it came from?" asked an attractive, young Japanese woman. "I don't know, but he doesn't belong out in the forest during this season." responded a handsome samurai. It was the middle of a frigid winter. The recently married couple was enjoying a peaceful walk through the snow covered forest, when they came across a baby in the middle of the well trodden path. "Well, let's take him with us, as I have yet to have an heir and you can not bear children. I will call him Kurokami."
Kurokami grew into a strong lad. He was taught the way of the samurai since before he could even hold a sword. He was brought up to be a true

The Soul of the Samurai
The Soul of the Samurai,
Rests in these blades at my side.
It is on them that I rely.
And in them I confide.
My swords have been with me in times of war,
When men went about to ravage and scorn the land.
In these times my weapons had a powerful roar.
And through this thunder, I was given death's hand.
They have also seen times of peace,
When the fires of hate had all burned out.
It was at these times that my blades did police.
To enforce this serenity all about.
My swords are always at my thigh.
But make no mistake.
I know that one-day, I will have to die.
And on that day these swords will break.

Prayer to the Elements
It is to you the elements that I ask,
It is to you that I pray.
That I may be granted your gifts if but for the day.
Help me live a good life and fulfill my position.
And complete my daily mission.
To be like Fire; set me ablaze.
So I can burn with passion and desire.
To be like Water; flood me.
So I can drown out the unnecessary.
To be like Earth; solidify me.
So I can stand unwavering as the mountains.
From you the Air I beg two things,
To be like the Wind; amplify me.
So I can become as powerful as the strongest gale,
But also as gentle as the calmest breeze.
To be like the Storms; electrify me.
So I can become as swift as

The Blood Shines Through
The rain drizzled on, matching the mood of the day. My master and I silently continued up the mountain towards the small town. The name of the place had long been worn away from the repeated fighting in the area.
Upon reaching the mountain top village, my lord headed for the inn. The heavey-set innkeeper immediately gave us his finest room when he learned who we were. We laid our belongings in the room and proceeded downstairs to get some food.
After a small, but filling meal, my master dismissed me to do what I wanted. I headed of to the vendors to try and acquire what we would need to continue on. When I returned, a little after d
I awoke abruptly to a cold, dank morning. Rubbing my eyes, I silently got up to dress. My wife awoke while I was dressing. I gave her a brief kiss, before heading out into the waking world. Reaching down, I grabbed one of the charred fish from the smoldering embers of last night's cooking fire. Today is just another day in the fields. I thought to myself as I trudged my way through the dew covered grass.
A few hours later, my only son joined me in the fields. I playfully greeted him with, "So you thought it would be funny if I did all the work, while you slept in!" He softly replied, "You know I don't mean to father. But you won't
